Sorry, Catherine, it was all made up as I went along! I just sewed some narrow remnants together until the entire panel was big enough to fit on the table top, then cut the whole piece into a circle. The butterflies were part of a different fabric, and I just cut them out, backed them with a bold colour, and placed them randomly on top of the main panel.
