“A Renovator’s Dream”.    We’ve all heard the term used to describe a run-down house that needs a lot of TLC.  But the meaning goes a lot deeper, and it’s something different to every person, every couple, every renter, every home-owner, and every aspiring decorator or DIY addict.  So, what is a renovator’s dream?  And do you have one of your own?

If you’re a renovator, you have a vision (or perhaps just the fuzzy beginnings of an idea), a tantalising image of what your home could become with the right changes, the perfect colours, an updated kitchen, and so on.  This image is your “Renovator’s Dream”.  At times, it can be hard to bring that dream to life, and a little inspiration and support is all you need.

My husband and I are renovators too.  Our “renovator’s dream” is to turn this old house into a uniquely creative and comfortable home, with very little financial outlay.  I have an interior design background, and together, my husband and I and many of our friends, have a broad range of practical and trade skills to get the job done.  Sadly, we have little money spare, but I don’t think we’re alone in that!  We are, however, determined to find a way.

I hope through this website, we can inspire and help others on a low budget to find creative and resourceful ways to DIY their homes into beautiful places to live.
